Sew a reinforced button

No 38/79

Make your button rock solid with some extra support.

You need:

One large and one small button, needle, thread and toothpick.

How to:

1. Use two buttons, the small to be fasten on the inside, and the large one on the outside.

2. Place a toothpick between the large button and the fabric. Lock the thread to the needle with a knot.

3. Fasten the two buttons to each other by sewing diagonally in all four holes. When they are stable, take out the toothpick and wrap the thread tightly four laps around the threads underneath the large button.

4. Sew through to the small button and properly attach the thread. E.g. by twinning a loop and pulling the thread through it. Done!
